Maam al-Anbiya, Seyyed al-Mursaleen, Mr. Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ have numerous high attributes, traits and characteristics, but like Allah Almighty, their ninety-nine names are not mentioned in any authentic or weak tradition. The Prophet ﷺ has only two personal names. “Muhammad” and “Ahmad” and in Sahih Bukhari, there are only five names of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: I have five names: I am Muhammad, and I am Ahmad. And I am the fish from which Allah removes disbelief. And I am “Hasher”, at my feet Allah will gather the people. And I am “Aqib (i.e. the last prophet)”.Scholars have written more than ten books about the blessed names of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and have also established chapters in the biographical books. As soon as they are mentioned, they are also counted as names. But some scholars do not include these attributes in the announcement. Therefore, we should limit ourselves to those names and attributes that are proven by the Qur’an and Sunnah. It is not permissible at all towards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Nor should the names of the Prophet be published like the names of Al-Hasani in the Musahifs. The book under review is the authorship of Dr. Tahir Mustafa.
